How a court page is put together

Every record has three layers, and they stay separate on purpose. That separation is what makes the register worth reading — and what makes your corrections worth making.

Register data

What we compiled and verified ourselves — location, county, whether it is public or paid. Marked ○ until someone has walked it in person, ● after.

Official venue information

Yours. Hours, court counts, surfaces and nets, rates and memberships, booking links, access and reservation rules, parking, amenities, sanctioned open play.

Local knowledge

Players only. Ratings, crowding, wait times, atmosphere, condition reports and local knowledge notes.

What a claim does and doesn't do

YOU CAN CORRECT

Hours and seasonal schedule changes
Court counts, indoor and outdoor, nets and surfaces
Rates, punch cards and memberships
Booking and reservation links
Access rules — members only, permits, drop-in policy
Parking, restrooms and amenities
Sanctioned open play and your own events

YOU CAN'T CHANGE

Ratings, in pickles or otherwise
Local knowledge notes and condition reports
Where you appear in search or on county pages
Where you appear in the newsletter

Player content is the reason anyone trusts the register. It is not for sale and never will be.

When we remove player content

Three cases, and only three:

It names or targets an individual.
It is factually false about the facility, as opposed to an unflattering opinion about it.
It was posted about the wrong venue.

You can flag any note for review and we will look at it the same week. A low rating on its own is not grounds for removal — but a factual error inside one is, and we would rather hear about it than not.

What this costs

Your listing, your factual corrections and your venue claim are free. There is no sales ask on this page and nobody will call you.

Down the road, DMV Pickle may offer paid options like sponsorship, always clearly labeled and always alongside the data rather than inside it. Nobody will ever be able to buy a rating, a rank, or a spot on a county page. Right now we are in the relationship-building phase, and the goal is simple: serve the community well.
