OFFICIAL REGISTER PROGRAM — EVIDENCE FOR COUNTIES, BUILT BY PLAYERS

The Demand Ledger.

Counties invest where demand is documented, not just requested. A petition says people want courts; the ledger shows people using and waiting on specific ones — dated, counted, and on the record. The principle comes from our Prince William County Ambassador, a veteran of taking court requests to local government:

DOCUMENTED USAGE, NEVER WISH LISTS.

Every entry below is evidence a parks department can act on: one-tap interest stamps (dated, rate-limited, one per device), player reports, and photos — collected on the court's own public record, reviewed by a human.

Quincy ParkARLINGTON, VA

Scouted on foot: 6 tennis courts, no pickleball lines or setup (yet). Lights run on a timer. Working drinking fountain. No restrooms found. Quiet at 7am — one tennis player practicing. ADVOCACY UPDATE Jul 2026: striping request submitted to Arlington DPR — confirmed shared with the county's Park Development team for consideration for future sites.

Indoor pickleball at designated times (court count to verify). Outdoor courts are tennis-only with NO pickleball lines as of July 2026 — scouted on foot; a striping request to Arlington Parks could change that. ADVOCACY UPDATE Jul 2026: striping request submitted to Arlington DPR — confirmed shared with the county's Park Development team for consideration for future sites. Indoor drop-in: adults need a fitness membership or Daily Visit Fee (payable at the front desk).

Ward 4. DC DPR listings described indoor gym pickleball here, but a player report (Aug 5, 2026) says there is currently NO indoor pickleball at this location — the register goes with the player. Moved to the Scouting File until someone confirms play here again. If DPR restores pickleball hours, file a report and this record comes back.

Dean ParkMANASSAS, VA

Eight dedicated outdoor pickleball courts with permanent nets and public restrooms — the only facility north of Richmond BUILT from scratch for pickleball rather than converted: ~8 ft along each sideline (16 ft between courts) and 10 ft behind baselines, versus the ~5 ft/8 ft minimums at converted courts nearby. A City of Manassas park. Open about two years but underused and unfinished — still needs windscreens, divider fencing between courts, shade structures, and bleachers. The community's case: complete it, promote it, bring it to life. Per Barbara Tyrrell — DMV Pickleball Prince William County Ambassador (article forthcoming).

Know a court that deserves better? A park with striped-over lines and no nets, a rec center that dropped its pickleball hours, an empty slab that should be courts — tell the register and it joins the ledger. And when a county asks for the evidence, we hand it over — that's the whole point.
METHODOLOGY: STAMPS ARE ONE-TAP, DATED, RATE-LIMITED, AND LIMITED PER DEVICE. REPORTS AND PHOTOS ARE PLAYER-FILED AND HUMAN-REVIEWED. THIS LEDGER CLAIMS ONLY WHAT IT CAN SHOW.
