FACILITY RECORD
Mornings: a 3.0 to 3.5 group from around 8am, and a 3.5 to 4.5 group from 8:30 to 9am on the lower two courts, with the stronger group playing until about 12:30pm. Evenings: from about 6pm until the lights go out at 11pm, beginners through 4.0, and it gets crowded.
One campus, two ways to play: OUTDOOR — Fairfax County's largest complex, 8 dedicated pickleball courts (2025 expansion), free, first-come. INDOOR — drop-in pickleball in the Audrey Moore Rec Center gym (admission/membership fee; check the RECenter schedule). Merged from two records July 2026 after a player flagged the duplicate — thanks, Reddit.

LOCAL KNOWLEDGE — THIS COURT
Lights Census, October 2: a player confirms the outdoor lights work and stay on until 11pm. Evening play runs from about 6pm until they cut out.
Open play: Morning There are at least two distinct groups. One that shows up early around 8am and is around a 3.0-3.5 level and one that shows up at around 8:30 to 9am usually on the lower two courts that are 3.5 to 4.5. Play for the more advanced group typically goes until around 1230pm. Evening Typically starts around 6pm and runs until the lights go out at 11pm. Wide range of play level from beginners to 4.0. It typically gets crowded as these courts are a local favorite. I typically get there around 7pm and can get at least 3 games in until it gets too crowded.
Open play starts around 9am every morning and the level range is typically 3.0-4.5. In the evening, open play typically starts around 5:30 and the level range is typically 2.5-4.0. Very popular in the evenings because of the lights. There is generous amounts of space to relax while you are waiting to play because of the stone bleachers. Unfortunately, you have to walk about 300 yards back to the parking lot to get to the porto potty (single) if you need to use the rest room.
Tap the pickles. That's the whole report.
No account, no forms. 1 pickle = rough day, 5 = great courts. Left half of a pickle = a slice.
